I think what really gets me is the foreshadowing of when he learns to box. He has all this rage built up, and later on he's learned the self-discipline to be totally precise about punching people...but at this age here.... So much rage, and such an amazing gift from his grandfather to let him have this outlet.

This story just gets me right *there*.
