hmmm... I had a think last night (don't look shocked I do occasionally), and "Detective" is capitalised as a job title so by the same logic "Mountie" should be capitalised. But it's also a contraction and sometimes possibly a diminutive, so I'm not sure if that logic applies, sinc "'tec" isn't capitalised. *Shuts up whittering on linguistics before she gives somebody a migraine*
