Yeah, it's definitely fucked up. I mean, Fraser knows after the second section, right? Because it is a really stupid alibi, y'know? He may not be admitting it to himself but he definitely knows on some level. And I think after the third section he can admit he knows but he's waiting for RayK to say something. To take the initiative. And RayK just...can't. He just can't. And so it just drags on until it's so overt that Fraser has to take action.

Cue violins. Lights down. ::g::

I should ask [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade to do an icon! It would be fun to have something like that.

RE: the angst. Well, y'know -- stories need conflict. Or there's just nothing to make them interesting. Happy, happy, fucking, fucking is just kinda dull after awhile, y'know? As you say, it's the angst that makes the happy ending so sweet. But yeah, if it's going to be unhappy, I do like the idea that there is at least hope for someone to be happy. Here it's the Rays -- someplace else it might be Fraser. But some good, even if it's in the future.

Hey -- thought about the F/V. Maybe you just need to see through to the F/V/K place? I mean, my [livejournal.com profile] getfraserlaid is kinda about that -- about the stuff that Vecchio and Fraser never got to say to each other the first time around. It is possible to see -- very much in the future -- a happy resolution.
