oh, Joan, this is wonderful. Fraser being exactly the shithead (and i mean that affectionately!) that he is in canon, because, yes, he really does have his deliciously evil little moments, and Ray being so Ray (and like unhurt said - that bit where he's reflecting on 'every other guy who'd looked at him once' and back through his family and all, ow and also very in tone with the show too, in a lot of ways, given the mix of humour and seriousness and action) and the little semi-fake out with Ray seeing Stella (I totally fell for it and went "yay, Stella/OFC, score!") before she made it clear that, yes, they'd got the address wrong which, in hindsight is completely clear but I bought it utterly. Um, that sentence got confusing. But yes, so well done - it's clear and it's obvious as soon as you think about it but it's not so obvious that it's painfully easy to see coming.
And the soup and then the other soup at the end (which, god, sounds really good right now,a ctually) and Ray being suspicious and just going with it and John Hancock and... in conclusion, I loved this.
