I'm so sorry, I didn't realize I hadn't replied to this! I'm glad it made you snicker. When I set out to write this, I thought, I want to do the gay bar thing in the same casual, somewhat mainstream-stereotyping way Due South deals with any other group, just like you'd see in an episode -- so, yes to jokes about music and all that. And given how Fraser handled that kink bar in S1, I figured he would adapt to a gay bar with his usual S3 straightfaced messing-with-Ray humour. And like you say, Ray is still coming from that "Do not fall for her, Fraser" view of him as too innocent to cope. Hee! Anyway, glad you liked it. :D
