Oh, this is fabulous. I would totally leave you sensible feedback but mostly my brain is busy shrieking "he- date! it was a date! and he!" and then it all dissolves into helpless giggles. Perfect. I mean, I can absolutely see this being an episode, you know? Because that's exactly what they'd do, and it's how they bounce off each other, and Fraser's little white lie is great and "what is that when it's not wearing a toga" and just... oh, this is great. And such a good buildup to the kiss. *flails about happily* This is classic.

Loved "It's a date" ... "You think so too?"

(950 words is exactly the length of story I have time for this week!)

Oh, ♥! Two different dates!

I love the way they're so in character. Hot and sweet.

Mmm. Lovely sense of tension between them at the table. And heh, prunes. *g*

Oh, my stars! That was so incredibly sweet! I loved the dialog, and the emotion rushing in like blood and the Phoenix dactylifera and toga.

And that little exchange when they'd both realized what was going on was so *hot* and they never even touched each other!

Thanks!

Sweetest thing ever! I love uncertain Fraser and not-so-uncertain-but-not-sure-how-to-procede Ray. The dialog was spot-on and the kiss w=at the end was sooo good!

*loves*

[identity profile] tex.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
So great! Totally the kind of misunderstanding these two could have and for there to only be one kiss, it was smoldering with hotness. Loved it!

[identity profile] nos4a2no9.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Very clever, witty, and warm. Loved this!

[identity profile] slidellra.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Ray leaned back against him. "Pushy guy," he said under his breath. "I like that."

Lovely, funny, sexy.

Squee!

Oh, I love it. It's just so Fraser throughout. [It's so Ray, also, but SO Fraser.]

Oh, yay! This is so sweet. And Fraser is very Fraser. :)

Oh God, I love the mix-up at the beginning and then the conversation and then the kiss.

It's a date!

BWEE. <3<3<3

(If I had just heard the plot of this, I might have assumed it was just some cheesy fic? But you have just the perfect touch, dude. Wow.)

[identity profile] gurrier.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwh! They're each uncertain and vulnerable in their own distinctive ways, and each gets past it so typically too. And puns, and crossed fingers! *loves*

[identity profile] ultra-chrome.livejournal.com 2006-09-26 02:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"You sure?" Ray asked softly. "Because once we start this, I do not know if we can get the worms back in the can, Fraser."

I love that line so much!

The whole thing is just perfect. Perfect Ray, perfect Fraser, perfect story.

It's a date, YES!

The whole thing is so damn sweet and so them ... oh, boys ...

A question. An invitation. A doorway to a whole new world. Fraser regarded his partner, hair burnished by the lights, and his throat constricted, emotion rushing in like blood to a limb once a tourniquet had been removed. "Yes."

Yeah, sweet, like everybody else said, but hot too. Especially, this:

Then his eyes dropped to Fraser’s mouth, and he -- seemingly unaware -- brushed the ball of his thumb back and forth across his lower lip.

Guh.

Oh, HEE. I love silly misunderstanding stories where the characters talk at cross-purposes!

Awww, All warm and lovely and just so them.
I *heart* this like woah :D
