I wasn't meaning that to sound snarky at all! I'm sorry if it did. I just thought maybe it would be a good mnemonic device because of how "finite" is pronounced (same everywhere, I think). It occurred to me on the spur of the moment. English spelling is so tough. It's all visual memory.
