Yes, I like the insurance policy idea too. They just don't seem to have the air of terrified insecurity that constantly scraping for money gives - within the limits of their lifestyle, they seem pretty comfortable. It's a good point about Ray's dad... I wonder if things improved financially (as well as emotionally) after his departure?
