I, too, found this via a rec from isiscolo, and I, too, loved it. I think what I loved most was the contrast between the wistful uncertainty, the "would it have been worth it?" of the original, and Ray's certainty that it _would_ have been worth it. Such a tiny, subtle change between original and homage, and yet it illuminates so much in the change.
