Oof. That's a pitch-perfect start, with both of them so depressed after a day of dealing with domestic violence calls, seeing people destroyed by love, unable to help.
Ray thinks about this every time he visits Fraser in his tiny, airless office at the back of the Consulate. Everything Fraser owns could be folded up inside his knapsack or tucked away in his hatband. He could be gone in a flash. It’s like he’s planning to run, and he could give lessons to all those abused women out there. And the women could run away, but Fraser? If he were to run, wouldn't he be running TO Victoria?
As he drifts off to sleep Ray wishes they really could live in that kind of world. *sends Ray and Fraser some sweet and happy dreams*
