Oh Brig! I'm so sorry I didn't leave feedback for this earlier. A group of us watched Men With Guns in the 6degrees chat months ago, and then a few us lingered behind to read your fic and discuss it. I had a great time last night and was completely wowed by your fic, but I utterly neglected to provide feedback. And Jesus, does this piece ever deserve a lot of praise.
It's an amazing bit of writing: you do so much with the characters--Ray's downward spiral, Fraser's desperation and inability to deal with his own emotions, and even your OCs and the Men with Guns character cameos are brilliant. The language here too was perfect: you've got a lean, mean, tight and spare prose that works well for the context, and there were many turns of phrase that stunned me. I particularly liked the antelope/lion conversation, and Fraser's encounter with Rob. Brilliantly done. Great story, and I really hope you're proud of what you accomplished here. Fantastic.
