This is terrific. Really well crafted.
“Oh, I think your turtle is very loyal, Ray.”
And that cracked me up. It's so Fraser! He would totally say that. :)
And this line was very DS and very Ray:
After Stella left, his forces had been pretty much stuck at low tide for months, stinking of dead fish.
I loved watching Fraser figure out what he really wanted.
Delightful short piece. \o/
