Oh, this is a lovely story. You've really tied the werewolf concept into Fraser's character -- his outsider status, the particular types of clues he notices (smells, tastes), his relationship with Dief.

And I loved that the revelation of his nature to Ray was both necessary for keeping their partnership and led so readily into the change in their relationship. Beautiful!
