I love Quantum!Leaping!Ray and his tremendous compassion for the boy that Fraser was. The glove was a poignant and brilliant choice as Ray's bit of proof to the adult Fraser. Great new explanation of "Steve"! :) And the aftermath of Caroline's death was very scary and believable (once you suspend disbelief for the quantum-leaping, which I do, always--hey, what's fiction for if not for fantasy?). I love love love how Ray comforts Ben. *sniffles*
I also love the way Ray deals with his leaps. How weird and difficult for him. And amazingly wonderful that no matter where he lands he tries to help, or at least to do no harm. ♥ ♥ ♥ Ray!
This is a heartbreakingly lovely tale with a very hopeful ending. Throughout, the characters demonstrate the great trust they have in each other. I just adore that aspect of the story so much; I think you've hit on the essence of their relationship right there. Beautiful.
