Z, seriously. This was my very favorite story from this year's Match. This is going into my "love to pieces" pile, one that I'll read and re-read and rec to everyone who will hold still for five seconds.
And years down the line, even if I'm not here on LJ or still in fandom, I'll pull this story from where I've pressed it between the pages of a book like a treasured heirloom to read it again.
And yes, I think you did a masterful job of characterizing wee!Ben - it's perfect. Still recognizable as Fraser, but more open-hearted and free. *sniffle*
