Thank you! Yes, this is very much a dumbest-smart-person-ever kind of Fraser in this story. He's just trying very hard to make the world make sense, which, no matter whether it's a realistic or a whimsical universe, is never going to happen, you know? And I just always loved the bit in "Some Like It Red" where Ms. Fraser tells the girl about prettiness being < sharp teeth or a sense of purpose: it's so sweet, yet also so insane. ♥
