Ray thought of the end of the poem about the Prufrock guy, something about waking up and drowning, and maybe since he wasn't remembering the rest he wasn't understanding it right, but he knew he had to do this right, didn't want to go back, didn't want to be nothing, and instead of kissing Fraser he said in a rush, more soft and intense than he'd maybe said anything ever, "Let me stay."
