I've been there, but not for years. I'm envious!

Well, I've lived here all my life (with the exception of a few year in Utrecht, which didn't agree with me at all). But if you make it back over here sometime, swing round for tea, or something. :)

I live thousands of miles from the nearest Ikea. *G* Nothing but ugly, expensive furniture as far as the eye can see.

That's a serious handicap. Until Ikea wises up and opens a store near you, maybe you could take up carpentry? ;)
