(no subject)

I've been struggling lately to write challenge responses because my thesis has been hanging over my head. I feel guilty working on something long, so here's 100 words of cliche fic.

What did it say that he had to be drunk for this?

Not completely drunk, not too drunk to fuck because that would totally miss the point. Just drunk enough to be horny and desperate; just sober enough to call.

Of course, Vecchio was sober. Sober enough anyway to drive over, to make up some excuse to his family or Fraser.

Vecchio hadn’t turned him down yet. He usually got there fast and would stay for hours, until they were both exhausted, sweaty, and sated.

Ray didn’t know which one of them was more pathetic.

Ray picked up the phone.

Awwww! Ray calls all drunk, and Ray runs over. Woobie! Both of them! Nice work in very few words!

I had a former, well guess you can't call him a boyfried, but a guy that used to call me up when he was drunk. I gave up running over to his house though. ::g:: I totally empathize with this story, Thermidor. Good one.

Well, your guilt notwithstanding, this little gem is greatness.

Any manual on writing says that when you're stumped, you should write something - anything, even if it's only your grocery list - to get the brain in gear. This is so-o-o much better than a grocery list, of course, and just may help you get the thesis going. Good luck with it! And feel free to use us anytime : )

What a great use of 100 words! Dammit, I can't get this many levels even when I leave the 1000 word limit in the dust. I love, love, love drunk Ray calling up Vecchio, looking for some comfort.

And yeah, of course Vecchio will come right on over.

I love it.
