___

"...to love for all the days of my life..." Benton Fraser promised.

He smiled at his life partner, his eyes moist. Both men leaned in for a kiss; warm lips touched softly as cheers resounded in the room. Ben took Ray into his arms as music began to play.

"Ashes to ashes and dust to dust..."

Ray Kowalski stood by the grave weeping openly. "You kept your promise, Ben. And I'll love you, too, for all the days of my life."

He returned to an empty house and danced achingly alone until dawn to a familar melody.

Oh, MAN!

This was terrible.

Terrible good, that is! Also terrible sad, and terrible sweet, and terrible romantic...

You guys are going to have me sobbing my guts out by the time this challenge is done. I just know it. If anybody writes dead Dief, I'm gonna get mediaeval on your hindquarters!

Oh, never mind. Kill everybody off, see if I (sniff!) care!

Sorry, that was my pathetic attempt at praise. I should have allowed myself a little mourning period for Frase because I was incoherent! Really did love it.

Sweetie, I'm so impressed how you're able to hit the high points of a lifetime, in just a hundred words. That shows such focus and talent. Good job.
