ADMIN: Apology challenge

mergatrude suggested an Apology challenge. What does it take to make one of the characters say (or show) that they're sorry? How do they do it, and when they do, is their apology accepted? It's May 8 -- stories are due by midnight, May 22, Chicago time.
Reminder: You can make suggestions for future challenges on any admin post. More ideas are always welcome -- put on your thinking caps and go crazy. :-)
