china_shop: Close-up of Zhao Yunlan grinning (DS Match)

Guess the writers for the prompt: Day 2, 'You made me come all the way up here for this?'

Any idea who wrote today's stories? Share your opinions here!

For Team Reality we have Suicide Is Painless.
And for Team Whimsy, Notes on the Impossibility of Nirvana.

Good luck, and happy guessing!

just an FYI - when you click on the link for suicide is painless, it goes to the author's site, I *think*, rather than DS match. I might be wrong about that, though.

yep, i was wrong. sorry! ::::blushes::::

I'm going to guess that Notes on the Impossibility of Nirvana is [livejournal.com profile] aingeal8's work.

[identity profile] nos4a2no9.livejournal.com 2008-08-30 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm going to agree with [livejournal.com profile] keerawa - "Notes on...Nirvana" has to be [livejournal.com profile] aingeal8's story!

I'm pretty sure that [livejournal.com profile] aingeal8c didn't write "Notes..." but I'm not sure who did. Taking a wild guess...[livejournal.com profile] catwalksalone maybe?

[identity profile] j-s-cavalcante.livejournal.com 2008-08-31 09:04 am (UTC)(link)
I'm with you, Aka, about its not being [livejournal.com profile] aingeal8c's. But I don't have a guess as to whose it is.

[identity profile] nakeisha.livejournal.com 2008-08-31 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
I agree too. This is definitely not [livejournal.com profile] aingeal8c's story. However, I also have no idea who it is.

Nakeisha, I think you and I can unequivocally say this isn't cracky enough for Aingeal. Great story though. *Ponders*

[livejournal.com profile] omphale23 for Reality, maybe?

*is really kinda crap at this*

If Suicide is Painless isn't by [livejournal.com profile] ignazwisdom, I will eat Fraser's hat.

[identity profile] aingeal8c.livejournal.com 2008-09-01 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
But then Fraser will be hatless and tragedy could ensue.

So here's hoping it is by [livejournal.com profile] ignazwisdom. ;-)

Fraser has spare hats, he'll be fine :D

And I think I;m agreeing on , and here's hoping I can make the author link thingy work. I never tried it before.

[identity profile] 0walking-naked0.livejournal.com 2008-09-01 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, it didn't work. Fuck. I don't know how it works. And I even asked someone the other day, which is embarrassing because I forgot already. I think it might be ignazwisdom, but I'm not certain.

If I understand what you're asking, you just need the LJ code. It's [less-than sign]lj user=[author_name][greater-than sign]

Without the brackets.

Does that help?

Ooops, JS, you forgot the quotes.

So, it's:

< lj user="authorname" >

Take out the spaces before and after the < and > and voilá!

[identity profile] j-s-cavalcante.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Didn't forget the quotes. Left them out on purpose, because they aren't necessary.

Huh. Did not know that. Sorry.

NP. The ways of LJ, they are mysterious. :)

[identity profile] 0walking-naked0.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you everyone! I will try to remember it this time, I promise :D

Wait, really? They don't need to be there?

I so fail at LJ coding.

[identity profile] j-s-cavalcante.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
They're not needed--try it! :)

I'm certainly no expert at LJ coding. It feels so primitive. In fact, when I found out what HTML coding was, I laughed...because it is exactly like old-fashioned word processing programs were in the dark ages 1980s. I kid you not. One would think there'd be a more 21t century way to do it, but, no. I was truly shocked.
