Okay, the Vecchio challenge is over; next up: the Vecchio Challenge! (The new Vecchio challenge will, of course, be nothing at all like the old Vecchio challenge, but I will expect you not to notice. ) You can find the 12 challenge entries here.

New challenge coming right up!

Vecchio Challenge by Giulietta (2)

Um. I don't know exactly how well this will work, because I sort of wrote it on a whim and it's weirdly short and I lack self-esteem but I am going to stop babbling anxiously now! Really!

Vecchio/Angie, reference to Vecchio/Irene, 847 words.

Mediocrity )

Vecchio Challenge by DancesWithChopstick

Gen-rated story concerning Fraser, Kowalski, and various Vecchios, for the Vecchio challenge, around 1900 words. Un-beta'd due to deadline proximity.

Note: This is the fourth in a loose series of F/K time-travel fics. If you haven't read the earlier parts, and want to, they are located here, here, and here. However, the earlier fics in the series are not essential to this story--all you really need to know is that Fraser and Ray K have accidentally been marooned in a Chicago that is 100 years ahead of their proper time, they're still partners, and they're no longer in law enforcement. Feedback welcome. Enjoy!

'Welcome Addition', Vecchio Challenge by Aingeal

Title: Welcome Addition
Author: Aingeal
Rating: F/V slash, PG
Word Count: 1,909

Um, so... I'm posting one (1) story and this is it. It's Ray Vecchio & Fraser gen.
Rating: mild language, gen.
About 1225 words.

Perfect and Close Enough )

Vecchiofest Challenge by Giulietta

ETA: I have now done an audio version of this fic. You can find a link to it, and various possibly helpful blitherings about said audio, here.

Um. The formatting on this is kind of weird, but it is intentionally so, so bear with it. And though it is weird, it should not actually be illegible, thought it very well may turn out that way. Let me know how your browsers handle it, 'mkay?

Vecchio POV, gen, 2625 words (am I glad there's no word limit).

Then one day Zuko died, and Ray turned around and found Frankie smirking at him. Smoking a cigar. Scumming up the neighborhood. Slamming his face into the pavement.

Ray thinks he lost half his sanity then. The rest -- well, he waited a few years to lose the rest.

This is a Frannie story, with a dash of F/K. G-rated. 3600 words. Many many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lyra_sena and [livejournal.com profile] secret_garden for beta. *mwah!*

ETA: I forgot to say that Miriam also betaed the first couple of drafts of this story, repeatedly and incisively, a long time ago when I couldn't quite get it to work. Many many thanks to her, and apologies for being a dumbass. *smacks self with dead fish* :-)

Vecchio Challenge: (Not) Being Ray Vecchio, by Isis

My first due South story, woo! For the Vecchio Challenge, so naturally it's about Ray K. F/K-ish, PG, about 1650 words. Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sageness and [livejournal.com profile] chopchica for beta.

Title: (Not) Being Ray Vecchio
Summary: Ray has an identity crisis.

Vecchio Challenge - by Marcella Polman

Saw the challenge, was hit with inspiration, (thank you, Cesperanza, for the bruises) and wrote the story. I have a secondary goal with this: being the first to post. So, hastily:

Title: Welcome, my daughter
Pairing: Vecchio/Vecchio (duh)
Rating: PG (or something)
Size: about 850 words

Welcome, my daughter )

ADMIN: The Vecchio Challenge

We've had several requests for a Ray Vecchio challenge, and several requests for a Francesca Vecchio challenge--so how about a Vecchio Free For All? Pick a Vecchio, any Vecchio, or otherwise write a story that is Vecchio-centric in some clever way: after all, face it, Vecchio is a name that gets around! Frannie, Ray, Mamma, Maria, Ray, Uncle Whatsisbucket who was in the mob--was Angie a Vecchio? Is Stella now a Vecchio? Perhaps there are other Vecchios. Maybe there are false Vecchios. Three or more Vecchios. Perhaps its the Vecchio Family Singers, walking in single-file over the (Italian) alps. Seriously, bring the name of Vecchio in a central, starring way and we'll count your story.

It's January 2--stories will be due January 15th at midnight eastern.
