what a beautiful response to that challenge! While it is sad, it isn't depressing to me. Fraser has faith that the sun will return, that things will improve (even if it isn't with Ray) and yet he also acknowledges the debit side of his balance sheet (pardon the accounting reference...I'm at work. *g*) I love stories that acknowledge Fraser as a spiritual person. This is quiet and peaceful; a very fitting way to spend the solstice.
