Due South Flashfiction Community

I really didn't think I'd get something written for this challenge - not after three ideas didn't get beyond the first few words when I wrote them down. Naturally, idea #4 had to come to fruition at nearly midnight last night, distracting me from sleeping and preparing for the first wedding I've officiated... the one that starts in an hour and thirty minutes. (eep!) You wouldn't be seeing this if imkalena and reginagiraffe hadn't whipped through the world's speediest betas this afternoon. (Ladies, I owe ya one!) [And to everyone who saw this in ds_discourse, I swear the damned client said ds_flashfiction, just like it does now. I hope it hits the right place this time. I double checked that time, so I'm triple-checking this time - and using the other client. *sigh*]

Now, I know it's a little early for Halloween, but it's still seasonal, right? Roughly 984 words of my first Ray K story.
