Title: Hat Trick
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sionnain
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 3900
Summary: The hockey game ended in a tie, but that's okay; our boys still manage to score!

AN: For the [livejournal.com profile] ds_flashfiction Amnesty Challenge: Threesome Challenge. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] meresy, my fabulous beta, for keeping track of pants, lights, and wolves. <333 ILU, Meres! Also for lobby-coffee and other suggestions that made this story possible. ♥ ♥ ♥! The title refers to the term for a hockey player who scores three times in one game. I'm taking a little bit of liberty with that...love me anyway?

And in case you were wondering, Yes, that was really the price of admission for second balcony seating in the Chicago Stadium in 1978 for a Blackhawks game!

Hi,

I recently joined this community. I was aware of its existence before; read stories, comments, and was completely taken by what the challenge principle could evoke. I really wanted to participate myself.

When Cesperanza posted the Amnesty Challenge, I knew this was a chance that was too good to miss. So I browsed through the challenge list looking for inspiration and wrote a story that, as I believe, responds to the Threesome Challenge (which was posted May 2003).

I did something that’s very unnatural to me, though. I wrote a death fic. Usually, I avoid those because they are really too sad for the sensitive soul that I am. But killing the man that is most dear to me (save for my husband) was the only way I knew how to wrap my head around the pairing my muse insisted upon.

The story’s title is less than greatness. But it got stuck in my head, blocking the entrance to more suitable alternatives.

Finally, the message ToraK posted on December 20th startled me to no end. Scanning the beginning and the end of “Ghost” only made matters worse. But I decided to pull myself together and to finish the story I was writing anyway. Then I read Tora’s story properly and was somewhat relieved. Yes, there are a lot of similarities between “Ghost” and “Chicago Hope”, but there are differences as well. I believe I can safely assume that Tora won’t sue me for plagiarism.

Title: Chicago Hope
Pairing: Kowalski/Vecchio
Warning: Death fic
Rating: R
Size: 6300 words (roughly)

It's still before midnight somewhere... right?

This story covers, let's see, Threesome, Voyeurism, Masturbation, Make-Up, Courtesy, Curtain, Knickers, Shakespeare (via Stoppard), Cliche #11 (Lookalike), and possibly Door. It's NC-17 and weighs in at roughly 6600 words. (If I look at it as 1000 words per challenge, it's under the "We don't need no stinkin' word limit"!)

I'd have never been able to start this story on Thursday night - let alone finish it today - without the folks in #discourse. Their prodding, praying, and cheerleading got me through this with most of my psyche intact, if sleep-deprived. Thanks, you guys! Extra special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lynnmonster and [livejournal.com profile] justacat for beta and hand-holding-beyond-the-call - and to [livejournal.com profile] lynnmonster again for the perfect title! I owe you both, bigtime! Thank you, too, [livejournal.com profile] theodosia for helping me try to title this thing at past the last minute! Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza for extending the deadline so I could finish it! And thanks and apologies to Tom Stoppard for the lines I lifted from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and dropped into this story in various characters' mouths.

This could potentially count for the movies and masturbation challenges, and possibly (depending on your perspective) threesome and voyeurism.

Curious

Just a drabble and a half that missed the deadline. I did stick it in my lj, but that was a long time ago ...

Appropriately, the Threesome Challenge was disrupted a little bit by the three day holiday weekend, but you can still find a respectable 21 stories archived here.

Thank youse all for playing! New challenge to be posted imminently.

And you thought I was just teasing when I said there was going to be a sequel to my first threesome entry. This was the trio I'd been trying to write all week! I'm not all that pleased with it, to be honest, but it's not going to get any better between now and tomorrow without getting waaaaay too long for the challenge. At this point, it's 976 words.

I broke the block I was having with this challenge. I had apparently been focusing on the wrong threesome...
Somewhat inspired by murielperun's response to this week's challenge...210 words.

This was a tough challenge, but something finally came to me. I don't know where this version of the characters came from. I seem to be going through a little angsty patch. ;-)
