For cmshaw, for depressing her with Admirable Solution. A Ray/Ray at her request, in two parts. Thanks to Mia for beta.

Okay, so here I am writing Ray/Ray for cmshaw at HER request and then she has the audacity to complain that there's no sex! So here's the sequel, sigh, written in a freaking hour and probably sucking giant rocks. But I want bonus points for writing sex under an upside-down canoe on dry land in the middle of a shootout. How inane is THAT? Thank you Mia and Terri for quickie beta--I love you guys.

The Canoe Challenge has sailed; you can find the 16 entries it generated archived here. New challenge coming up!

The Naive Fraser Challenge.
This one comes to us from Luthe SlashHunter ([livejournal.com profile] persian_slipper), who writes: "Can we have a Naive!Fraser challenge? You know, one without the Homeric epithets about his talented tongue and his absolutely focused attention? I want a Fraser who has no clue what he's doing in bed, because well, he's thirty-five and only has slept with Victoria. No gifted beginner fic, just Fraser trying to figure out what to do."

But why restrict such a good idea to sex? (SHUT UP! La la la, I can't hear you!) There are so many different situations where Fraser has to try to figure out what to do--practically, in terms of negotiating urban life in Chicago; emotionally, with Ray and Frannie and Thatcher and others.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Write a story in which Fraser is naive or clueless about some thing or things. Put the boy wayyy of his depth! (Note: if you do write a story with sex, please obey Luthe SlashHunter's wishes and make Fraser a near-virgin who is not a wildly gifted beginner.)

It's Friday by my watch; stories are due next Friday before midnight.

Once again I was trying for comedy and got angst. Maybe it's cyclic, maybe it's my mood, but whatever it is, it's short at 792 words. Here's "Learning How..."
