Ray knows his answer, but he waits a couple of heartbeats before shrugging and opening his mouth.
Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! The answer really is, "Anywhere with you," right? Right?!???
Anyway, lovely story, and I was all braced to say to myself, "Self, at least they died together. Buck up and be happy for them" ... but no! I am even happier for them alive and hurty but rescued and kissy!
(Oh my god, I apologize, I think I've been awake for far too long. But, um, I really liked this, in case you can't tell!)
