I know an author who doesn't believe in warnings. All her stories are "enter at your own risk". Some are quite innocuous. But there was one ... it messed me up for a week. I cried over that story for a full week. It was awful. Not awfully written, but so horribly sad that I thought I wouldn't get over it. It's fiction for chrissakes, but we get to caring about fictional people so strongly that they might as well be real. In this particular story, the author had her slash couple executed. God, it was so exquisitely written, but so sad. So gut-wrenchingly sad.
