Huh. I never thought about that. I didn't see the show until about 2 years ago, so Ray's clothing looked perfectly normal to me. It was Vecchio's wardrobe (particularly season 1 Vecchio) that gave me fits--it just screamed "early 90's bad fashion" to me.
