Hee! And I swear I had no more than two beers that night. Maybe even only one. That soup metaphor was so outstanding I can't begin to say. With all its domestic and caretaking connotations. Hey, and being "in the soup," where Ray and Fraser so often find themselves. :) Yay, soup!
(Oh, hey, I don't know if you get comment notifications, but I read one of your Star Trek stories recently and I just loved it. It was the canonicity of the characters that impressed me the most - the way I could just hear the dialogue and picture them and believe in them without needing to try.)
Oh, I'm so sorry, Joanie...I do get the notifications, and I'm way behind on replies! Thank you so much for what you wrote! I probably had some relevant or terribly clever (ha!) response besides "thank you," therefore I procrastinated, because it wasn't quite jelled in my head yet, and so you've been wondering whether I even saw your comment. But I did. Totally my fault. Your comment was appreciated very much! I love that you found the story believable! That's so essential, for me, because if fanfic doesn't convince us, it's not doing its job, you know?
