they flowed fine for me - i think if you analyse too closely, then yeah, you can start to get knotted up about how a particular word isn't quite a fit with the others*, but the important thing is that they feel consistent to the reader. also, they do their job: better to keep things clear than get a words that are a perfect set but don't do like these ones do (i.e. like lipsum said).

*have tried to do fic with short headers, eventually got totally sidetracked by headers and then gave it up in frustration as a bad job
