Absolutely - I loved Mamet without knowing anything about CKR. Something in my brain did twig during the gun buy scene because of something in Mamet's behavior. But as you said, the way he ended just killed me.

My feedback always sucks so I'll take this opportunity to add that I loved your Diefenbaker, and how he worked with Benton to find Ray. And how you wove Toronto into your story as Ben searched. I could not stand Eddie, and you made him as much a jackass as in the film. And Ray, so deeply immersed in his undercover role to hide from his past, and his not caring about what was happening. So, so good.
