That was what I was kinda trying for. But in the original draft, it was much more obvious - in each dream. Ray was waiting for Fraser to rescue him, like a damsel in distress. In the long run, it didn't work for me and I decided that Ray needed to stand on his own two feet, so I toned it down. But I did want to leave a hint of what things could have been without Fraser...
And I like Stella - but she often gets the short end of the stick in this fandom, a flat, two dimensional character that gets blamed for everything that's wrong in Ray's life...
