There were three Mounties at the consulate.

The first was the Mountie in charge. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and sometimes her petite figure seemed brittle. Ray thought she was too hard and too cold and too small.

The second was the junior Mountie. He was tall and broad but too eager to please. He was too big, too soft, too warm.

The third Mountie though, was not too bulky or too petite. He seemed aloof sometimes, but warmed when you got to know him. He was strong but caring.
Ray thought he was just right.

Oh! This is so perfect! I'm just sitting at work trying not to giggle out loud at the idea of Ray as Goldilocks...

You're forgetting the chair. and the bed. Ray has to test them, after all...

This was adorable.

Now I'm waiting for Little Red Riding Tunic. And the not-so-big, not-so-bad, deaf wolf.

I am a big-time fairytale groupie (used to audition for comedies with a rendition of Goldilocks and the three bears in Italian, but I digress) so of course this appealed to me greatly. I can see an entire series of these....The Three Billy GTOs Gruff? Little Red Riding Tunic? Snow Welsh and the seven Detectives?
Thanks for the sweet and amusing story.

Sound like the makings of a challenge, to me. Send it in to Ces! "Put your favorite character(s) in your favorite fairy tale/cartoon/movie/tv show"

This is fun! I love the descriptions. And it's a great use of exactly 100 words, too!
