Your writing just gets better and better. This was sweet and wonderful. You created a world that was rich and interesting, and even though we didn't see much of it, we saw enough to get a feel of who and why these two people are. And yet, they were both Ray enough that I pretty much always knew who was talking.
I hate peaches, but you made me wish I didn't.
The going north amuses me, 'cause, in my world, that would mean that they would meet a tall dark handsome man who might very well come between them (or join them?). Well, if there is a sequel, I will read it.
