Summary: Benton/RayK, Adventure conversation drabble
Rating: PG
Author: wanderingsmith
Disclaimer: I ain't got no money, and nobody'd be daft enough to pay me for this.
AN: saw the drabble challenge just after having read a fanficrant and bunnies insisted on trying to write Due South fic for the first time
..unfortunately, they weren't very scientifically-minded bunnies and the 'plot' of this story is -to put it politely- BS, as explained here.. can I have a literary license, please, officer?
"Hey Fraser?"
"Yes, Ray?"
"I thought we were going North."
"We are; due North for another day before we turn East to find a place to cross to Victoria Island."
"Right. So how come the sun just set where we came from? Does the sun not always set in the West in Canada??"
"Ah, I see. As a matter of fact, Ray, the sun itself of course *did* set in 'the west'. However, we are very near the Northern-most point on the planet, whereas the sun 'set' on the equator-"
"So our sunset's in the south."
"..So it is, Ray."
