I loved this. I love the tone of the story...it's almost matter-of-fact in their very sweet love for each other. Not taken for granted, but known for sure. I like that. And hmm, Stella had some issues. *Has* some issues. I loved this:
"I'm not the kind of guy to kiss and tell," Ray said, and Kowalski leaned over the pile of matchbooks and kissed him, hard and sloppy.
"Stella is," Kowalski said, and thinking back Ray had to agree.
