I could never in a million years hit her, but I guess she thinks I could.
She’s killing me.
That really got me--that Stella would reach that point, because it's the complete opposite of how Ray is. That line more than anything else shows that distance between them, I think.
And (you know me!) I loved the epiphany Ray achieves in the last line. There's hope in this, as well. Wonderful job.
