I'm not surprised that Fraser didn't know what it was, since, most people aren't into piercing beyond the the ears, or nose, or nipples. Prince Alberts just can't be seen in public so I don't think the public will have much clue what it is.
It's how Fraser reacted that made the story though, and Turnbull's offer to show him later. Wow. Bow-chika-bow-wow-wow.
