[identity profile] slow-mo-panda.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] ds_flashfiction
Don't mean to bug everyone again, but I've read the rules, and... when I joined, I thought that maybe this was a community for posting pretty much any DS slash fic you wanted. Not that I mind it being another challenge community, I actually enjoy reading others' work very much, but I am *horrible* at writing a response to a challenge. When I write (which is very rare lately), it is whatever comes to my head. I just was hoping I could offer something to this community. Maybe one day I will. ;)
Keep up the great work, writers!

No need to apologize. I just wanted to clarify that just in case. I know what it's like to join a community and not be exactly clear on what's up. ;-)

Welcome, btw.

The community isn't just for slash, although most of the folks here tend to predominately read and write slash. But I've seen non-slash stories posted as well. Also, you might wait until [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza gets back and ask her to be sure, but believe you can post fic that isn't related to a challenge. It's just that so far there have been enough challenges keeping people busy that non-challenge stuff hasn't been posted.

As for posting "pretty much any DS fic you wanted," that's not quite true since the object of the community is to write stories between 100 and 1,000 words in length. There are many times where stories go over the limit, but most people try to keep it as close to the limit as possible. Which means that this probably wouldn't be the place to post a 10,000 word story. :-)
