Guys, how rocking are you? I can not even believe what great fic this has produced. I am grateful and awed by y'all.

The Voyeurism Challenge ends Sunday, so get cracking! Also, we need a new challenge idea; writers, readers, anyone can play. Leave a message in the comments, or email me at speranza@trickster.org if you want to suggest something anonymously. I can keep a secret.

I have no idea if this is, like, passe or what, but in other fandoms I've always enjoyed doing shortfic around a certain set of words. Gives you a good starting place but not at all limiting.

like, "vanilla black legal mechanical" type of challenge, where you use 'em all.

A belated thank you...

...for creating this evil source of quick crack for the slash addict's soul. I can't decide whether to celebrate -- look, something fabulous every. single. day! no, make that several times each day! -- or to curse you and all the writers posting these little gems. I mean, I was having a hard time keeping my blasted DS recs page up to date as it was. It's hopeless now. (Oh, that I should have this problem in my other fandoms.)

I'm not really into the set of words stuff myself. I like more theme-type stuff. But maybe that's just me.

I like an idea from Smallville's Wednesday100: a making-up scene. Or maybe it was break up, and make up, in one drabble.

What do you think?

I LOVE this journal, by the way!

I could send in the clowns. *g*

::koff::

Or 'make up' as in someone has to be making something up (i.e., lying).

Or a color theme. Food. Coming out. Childhood. Parent & child. Past love. Introspection. Drunk/high. Sports metaphors. Music metaphors. Small spaces (interpret that as you will). Sex in public (but unseen). Odd AU's.

Or...hmm...a twenty-plus years in the future theme (I'm clearly still thinking about the issue of age *g*)

How about people behaving in the opposite way you'd imagine them behaving? A "180 degrees of separation" challenge.

Ces, I was curious - what are your plans for the stories posted here? Are they going to be added to an archive or may we place them on our private sites?

Beth, I'm going to answer the second part of your question even without talking to Ces: of *course* you can put your stories up on your own site, regardless of what else happens with them.

And in any case, I can't imagine Ces would archive them anywhere else without permission in advance from all the authors.

Oh, I'm well aware of that, honey. It's just when I asked a few of the others, they weren't certain about posting to their individual sites either. And as for an archive, what I was thinking about is if there are plans for an one, it would be nice if we all involved in helping putting it together. That's all. I'm sorry for any confusion.

Ah...okay. Gotcha. I just couldn't imagine anyone asking me not to put something I wrote on my own site. *g*

I was rereading some of the earlier stories today when I happened upon your post. Now, I remember replying to this, but it was obviously Beth H's entry I had answered. Therefore, I wanted to thank you for clearing things up and add that having the fics archived as "memories" is a lovely idea.

Can we have a Naive!Fraser challenge? You know, one without the Homeric epithets about his talented tongue and his abosolutely focused attention? I want a Fraser who has no clue what he's doing in bed, because well, he's thirty-five and only has slept with Victoria. No gifted beginner fic, just Fraser trying to figure out what to do.

Any pairing, any time, any type of fic, just one clueless Mountie.
