Oh dear ... I can't even quote a piece of it back at you, because it's all so fabulous. The conical hats? The midgets? The room designed by German dolphins? I felt high just reading it. Thank you, Ces, for the most wonderful acid trip in the whole world.
"Yes. And if my admittedly academic knowledge of recreational drugs is correct, I've got at least two more hours of complete," he paused to kiss Ray's mouth, "unaccountability."
Besides the utter delight of the Felliniesque atmosphere, there's this concept--that Fraser knows he's stoned and is going to make the most of it. Fabulous, as always.
Watch out, because if I ever meet you on the street some day I am going to kiss you. The midgets...the conical hats... the unaccountability line. Loved it!
oooh! How very David Lynch of you...midgets, funky colored party drinks (blue, mostly *g*).
Kind of the happy flip side of 'The Politics of X'. Fraser knows he's been drugged, is completely aware of the effects, and happily takes advantage of the fact to do something he's always wanted to do. And they're in public, so they really can't go *too* far. Extra-tactile, uninhibited Fraser...mmmm....Lucky Ray! *g*
Kind of the happy flip side of 'The Politics of X'.
This made me laugh really hard--I think I need to go around and rewrite all the unhappy stories in EVERY fandom. Hell, why not in literature as well?
In my version of Hamlet, Hamlet and Laertes, after wrestling in Ophelia's grave, fall on each other's shoulders and sob, "I love you man!" Then they go to kill Claudius together, after which they decide to open a bed and breakfast in Vermont. What do you think?
(Okay--I can already hear the screams from those people who are arguing that Hamlet/Horatio is the OTP. And I wanted you guys to know I hear you, and you're right. But Hamlet is the Krycek of Shakespeare, ok? He goes with everything--you can do Hamlet/Horatio, Hamlet/Laertes, Hamlet/Fortenbras, Hamlet/Ophelia for the shippers, Hamlet/Yorick for you chanslashers, and I'm pretty sure Basinstoke is working on a Hamlet/skullfucking story, so there.)
I think Hamlet/Horatio is the only the OTP of the Paul Gross/David Keeley production of Hamlet. *g* From the text you can infer any pairing. It's the actors who create the OTP. ;o)
But I think H&L should open an B&B in Scotland. They could get Macbeth and MacDuff to help run it. *g*
LOLOL. How very true! (Though I found the Germans to be relatively accepting of the war--it's the Austrians who get all glazed over. There's a reason psychoanalysis developed there, is all I'm saying.)
VBG!!! I loved it! But of course Fraser knows what he's been drugged with - perfectly in character. This kinda reminds me of when he hypnotized everyone in SIB - so of course he'd take advantage of it! LOL! - Janice

Oh, oh, I didn't even think of that--but you're so right! Canonical support!! (Ces looks around, points, talking to anyone who will listen.) Look, canonical support!!! Hello?
Well, you already know how I feel about this, Ces - but I have to tell you, the German boy in hip waders, twirling like a dervish ... that's one image that won't leave me soon.
Man, how I love your whacky mind! And I hereby give you carte blanche to rewrite the unhappy endings of every single unhappily-ending DS fic out there. You're my hero.
justacat is absolutely right!! I think that should be a Flashfic Challenge, too! Rewrite the unhappy endings! Except -- I don't think there are enough of them to go around. And that's a GOOD thing.:)
Complete unaccountability - it's a very very good thing. So glad Ray went with it! My head is still spinning and I'm not looking forward to coming down ...
