ok, here's the problem - i have a story, but i can only just about figure out how to put it on my journal so you can read it (lj newbie blindly exploring)- but then i heard you don't want it on personal journals until the challenge is done - so, um, now what? -

... so I'll just make things worse by trying to explain something that I barely understand. However, the LiveJournal FAQ (which is reached by the link in the left-hand side of this page) has an entry on How To Post To Communities -- basically if you are a member of a community, you can choose whether a post goes to your page (the default) or to a community in a choice box.

Actually, come to think of it, if you're posting this to the Community, you've already figured that part out. What you want to do is check the FAQ for how to make cut tags in your posts!

It's early. That's my excuse, right?

I'm a total LJ newbie. But this I know. Use the code (in html brackets) lj-cut and /ljcut. If you want it to say your text instead of Read More... the first tag is lj-cut text="xxx". But check out the FAQ. Exceedingly helpful.
