It's still before midnight somewhere... right?

This story covers, let's see, Threesome, Voyeurism, Masturbation, Make-Up, Courtesy, Curtain, Knickers, Shakespeare (via Stoppard), Cliche #11 (Lookalike), and possibly Door. It's NC-17 and weighs in at roughly 6600 words. (If I look at it as 1000 words per challenge, it's under the "We don't need no stinkin' word limit"!)

I'd have never been able to start this story on Thursday night - let alone finish it today - without the folks in #discourse. Their prodding, praying, and cheerleading got me through this with most of my psyche intact, if sleep-deprived. Thanks, you guys! Extra special thanks to lynnmonster and justacat for beta and hand-holding-beyond-the-call - and to lynnmonster again for the perfect title! I owe you both, bigtime! Thank you, too, theodosia for helping me try to title this thing at past the last minute! Thanks to cesperanza for extending the deadline so I could finish it! And thanks and apologies to Tom Stoppard for the lines I lifted from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and dropped into this story in various characters' mouths.

It's worth noting that ds_flashfiction has been in operation for about 9 months now (our birthday is April 13, 2003) and in that time, we've produced, by my count, a total of 684 stories in 30 Challenges--most of them of really phenmomenal quality! So seriously, guys--well done!

For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I'm going to be afk for most of next week. So I went looking for a sustainable challenge, and by gum! I think I've found one! Stella Maris had suggested a "One Night Stand Challenge"--so let's do it: let's have two weeks of one night stands, defined as you will!

Today is Monday by my watch; stories will be due in two weeks, on Monday, January 19th, at midnight.
