Running to keep up with whatever those freaks in #discourse are smoking... This is a week of miracles, what with Easter and Passover and, er. Whatever else. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to write a miracle: angels! mpreg! levitation! ghosts!--er, actually, not ghosts; ghosts are canon--plagues! sawing a woman in half! rising from the dead--er, no, that's canon too, never mind. Part Lake Michigan if you want to! Turn water into wine and host a party! Do six impossible things before breakfast!

Note: people who have already been writing in this crackheaded vein are encouraged to post--and *cough* even expand--their work for this challenge.

Note: No, Joe Dick/Blair Sandburg does not count as a miracle. *g* It's more of a tragic accident if you ask me! Save it for the Crackheaded Crossover Challenge--coming soon to a LJ near you!

What do you guys think of routinely expanding to two weeks? A good or bad idea? Please let me know by responding in the comments; this challenge, though, will be two weeks long. Stories are due by midnight, Saturday, April 24th.

Running to keep up with whatever those freaks in #discourse are smoking...

Sigh. I think some of us #discourse people have some Very Big Issues.

I'm also going to cast my vote for 2 week long challenges. I can only speak for myself, but sometimes by the time I figure out what I want to write, I now have only 3 days left to do it and decide not to write it because it'll never be done on time. (What with my numerous punctuation/editing issues, lol.) So that's my vote *g*

Two weeks works for me!

And the folks on #discourse don't need crack to be strange and twisted. We all come by it naturally.

I'm casting a vote for two week challenges, although, as I peer around in horror at my friends list, I'm not too sure I want to give these crazy ladies more time to mess around.

I know I've only posted two stories here so far (but I'm working on a Miracle story right now!) But I love the idea of a two week time frame.

I know I haven't posted anything in ages - months? - it feels like ages, so I'm just whispering here, but I kind of like the one week set up. The dead line makes me actually sit down and write. With two weeks, I tend to dawdle and lose momentum and suddenly it's too late. But I can adapt. I suppose. If I have to.

Heh, that last bit reminds me of the saying in the men's support group segment of the Red Green Show.

"I'm a man... I can change... if I have to."

Hmm. Well, I'm not a frequent participant in these challenges, but I'd like to be. (Please give generously, won't you?) Two week challenges would make it far more likely that I could get my act together to post something in time.

How would you feel about posting one of the already posted crackheaded stories over here? It involves DS characters, and would have an addendum to it.

Sorry, I do tend to babble on. Never mind - I figured it out.

Shay, if you're talking about the story you recently posted to your LJ, I think it would be *perfect*!

I'll be the swing-door voter. Two weeks or one week, and I'm still happy either way.

two weeks is great...especially considering my life these days, it's great to have a little extra time to try and write something.
As for a miracle? It'll be a miracle if I'm off book for Hamlet by opening, but that's something for my own journal. *g*
