Taking this one from [livejournal.com profile] daughtershade, who writes:

Just had a great idea for a challenge...A Fraser Fucks Up challenge (or Fraser Mistake Challenge if you prefer.) Fraser always gets everything right and never screws up... especially in both Ray's eyes, so wouldn't it be great to read a story about him screwing up in some way? How would Ray or Ray or everyone else take it?

Knock yourselves out! Stories will be due on August 2nd at midnight.

Paul Haggis' answer to this challenge was so awesome, I'm not even going to try to come up with a response to this one. :-)

I'd kind of like to see a challenge where the stories have to take place in verylatenight/earlymorning period -- three, four, five am. (There might be a name for that period, but it's escpaing me at the moment.)

Toys. Sex toys, kids' toys, toying with your affections... dog toys. (expanded from the original sex toy suggestion by the crackheaded folk in #discourse.)

Uniforms!

I want people who *are not* Mounties in uniforms. ::pervs on RayK in his official uniform::

This is what happens when I watch too much SVU.

We were talking tonight about how sexy Fraser looked in the beginning of BDTH, all dirty and scruffy...and I was thinking, how about a Dirty Fraser (or Ray, or just plain Dirty) challenge. People can be dirty, get dirty, act dirty, say dirty things...etc.

(Man, but you guys....) shakes head at rapid moral degredation of #discourse

Sigh, I know. It's really very sad when you stop and think about it...

Butting in here with my own challenge idea...what about a "what if" challenge? Could be something big, like what if RayV wasn't the detective assigned to Fraser's case? Or something smaller, like what if Frannie got over Fraser, and decided she was interested in RayV instead? ^_; The purpose of the challenge would be to construct a story around a "what if" event...

*nods* Yeah, I meant it to be kinda like those history books that ask what if the South won the Civil War and follows the changes in canon/history from that. ^^;; (And in my example with Frannie, I meant Ray Kowalski instead of Ray Vecchio! *blushes*)

Though watch it's all like "What if Fraser and Ray had sex? Like a lot? With handcuffs?"

Heh. With this lot, I could see the problem!

Wow, and you all say us #discourse people are sick... *g*

(*Fantastic* idea, btw!)

Ack, I meant RayK! *sweatdrops*

(I'm happy you like the idea though!)

Okay, I may be smoking the monkey crack here, but what about a Hitchcock Challenge: Give yourself a cameo in your own story. No Mary Sues, just a quick walk-on role. Or you could find a way to bring the boys to your neck of the woods and have them raise some havok there.

Well now I fucked up...

Because my story for this challenge ended up 8500 words or so. Sigh...ah well, once Jenboo gets through attacking it with her red pen I'll post it in my lj, and hopefully find a way to get some of you guys to read it. I really do want comments. I'm just not good at writing short. Sigh.

Thanks Ces for letting me jump off of your Fraser-dives-into-the-river fic. I plan to continue this story, too--maybe still using the challenges as prompts, which would be fun I think. Pick up each new chapter where I left the last one off. *yeah*

C, sad to be waaayy over the limit, but not surprised at self but hey I did find a wonderful new icon though the maker of it seems to have disappeared

I've posted fics this long before on lj and it definitely falls into the challenge, so will await Jenboo's beta and will post. Thanks! And oh okay on the no announce in my lj.

So much to learn!

Newbie C who doesn't have a website yet...going to fix that problem soon
