I can feel his hot breath against my face as his teeth scrape along my stubble. He murmurs my name “Ray, Ray, Ray.” I can hear the catch in his voice and I tip my head back to see the sweat-dampened hair, the vein on his forehead that always pulses when he's angry or about to come. His eyes are squeezed shut as he's fighting for control.

Jesus. Fuck. He's gonna kill me one of these days. That veneer of civilisation he can't even let go of, not even in bed.

One day I will make him lose it.
