(I haven't yet read any of the others, I hope I haven't accidently copied someone's idea or anything).

I've often wondered just what would happen if I just went ahead and told him. Would he kick me in the head? Would he laugh? Would he tell me “Thanks, but no thanks. When I said I'd try anything, I didn't mean that.” Would he smile that brilliant smile and say “Me too.”

I've spent so much time wondering what would happen if I told him, that I hadn't considered what would happen if I didn't tell him.

“Frase”, he says fidgeting, “I kinda have feelings for someone”.

And for the first time in my life I just cannot speak.

I hope the next words out of Ray's mouth are something along the lines of, "And that someone is you." But not so cliched.

Nice work here.

I'm excited but scared, too... this could -so- go both ways, as I'm sure you know. The F/K shipper in me is yelling "He's in love with you, Fraser!" but there's a part that's hiding over Fraser's shoulder, waiting to give him a hug when Ray says someone else's name...

This is beautiful! Fraser's fear, his blind spot, the way you counterpoint the way he talks without saying anything with his silence here. Lovely.
