cherryice suggests a "No Power" challenge, which she defines thus: "It could mean traditional power outages, or refer to a situation people were found in, or shifts in interpersonal dynamics, or..."
Power down, people. Today's Saturday, August 27th; stories are due on September 10th at midnight.
Is it cool to suggest a challenge for which one already has a story partially thought out?
If so, I suggest a New Environments Challenge, meaning that each story must be set in an environment that is at least somewhat unfamiliar to at least one character who's dealing with it, and that environment should also be one that the author has seldom or never seen explored in Due South canon or fanfic. Many stories already exist about unfamiliar Canadian wilderness and small towns, unfamiliar Chicago ways, unaccustomed nightlife, unaccustomed drag, and so on. A few stories have explored less obvious possibilities, such as academe or the circus. How about some more new settings and situations?
